Health app Foogal includes Kroger in rollout
Foogal, a new meal-planning app designed to prevent and manage prediabetes, diabetes and autoimmune diseases, is teaming with Kroger as part of the rollout.
Once Foogal users create a profile and choose their health customization, they can browse the app’s collection of recipes to plan and create their own meals. The app will then generate a shopping list of ingredients and link the list to the nearest Kroger supermarket to buy online, providing the user with private label grocery options. The Foogal team said it is planning to add more grocery stores to the platform in the near future.
"We want Foogal to be the powerhouse behind America's healthy eating revolution," said company founder Todd Knobel. "Our goal is to help you improve your family's overall health, prevent prediabetes, and manage type 1 and type 2 diabetes and autoimmune diseases. We put all our efforts into designing an easy-to-use family planner that makes healthier eating as convenient as possible."
Foogal offers three diet protocols for users to follow: Wellness Protocol, Autoimmune Protocol and Insulin Resistance have been carefully designed and based on the latest scientific research on food and nutrition.
Foogal can be found on Google Play and the App Store. Kroger serves 60 million households annually nationwide through a digital shopping experience, and almost 2,800 retail food stores under a variety of banner names including Ralphs, King Soopers, Food 4 Less, Mariano’s and more.
