Hannaford has opened a new store in Scarborough, Maine.
Hannaford Supermarkets has expanded its presence in Maine with the recent opening of a new store in the community of Scarborough.
The 58,000-square foot location at 417 Payne Road is the grocer’s second store in its hometown. Shoppers will have access to an expansive hot and cold foods bar offering fresh, ready-to-eat items made on-site daily, including brick-oven pizza and chef-crafted sushi. The store will also offer a variety of high-quality, freshly-prepared grab-and-go meals, including entrees, appetizers, side dishes, sandwiches and salads.
“All of us at Hannaford are tremendously excited to make our high-quality, fresh food and produce; convenient services such as Hannaford To Go; outstanding customer service; and everyday low prices available to more shoppers in the Scarborough area,” said Todd Bullen, vice president of Retail Operations with Hannaford. “We look forward to welcoming shoppers to the new store and encourage them to join us as we celebrate this addition to our community.”
Shoppers will also have access to unique store brand offerings such as Taste of Inspirations, Hannaford and Nature’s Promise, as well as thousands of natural, artisan and organic products. The Scarborough store will also offer a variety of items made by local farmers and producers, including Casco Bay Creamery in Scarborough; Coffee By Design in Portland; Smiling Hill Farm in Westbrook; and Watcharee’s Thai Sauces in Yarmouth.
The store will also feature Hannaford To Go online ordering service for pickup or delivery, as well as a full-service pharmacy.
To mark the grand opening, Hannaford made donations of $10,000 to two local hunger relief organizations: the Scarborough Food Pantry and the South Portland Food Cupboard.
The Payne Road location marks Hannaford’s 187th store, including 66 in Maine.
