H-E-B Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium and Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix are the products being recalled.

Bentonville, Ark.-based Walmart and San Antonio-based H-E-B are recalling their private label taco seasoning mixtures because of a possible salmonella contamination.

Williams Foods LLC, a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company that supplies Walmart and H-E-B with their private brand seasoning, announced a voluntary recall on the products, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

"These items contain cumin spice involved in a recall initiated by our supplier, Mincing Spice Co.,” according to Williams Food LLC. “Mincing has issued a recall for a specific lot of cumin [it] produced because a sample from that lot was tested by one of Mincing's customers and was found to be potentially contaminated with salmonella. A portion of the lot recalled by Mincing was supplied to Williams Foods LLC. We are recalling our products listed above as a precautionary action; to date there have been no consumer complaints or reported cases of salmonellosis in connection with these products,” reported the FDA.

The products being recalled are H-E-B Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium and Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix.
