H-E-B ties with Mercedes-Benz as most trusted company

Known for its store brands and locally sourced products, San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B is also the country’s most trusted company, tying with Mercedes-Benz with a score of 82 percent, according to the 2017 Temkin Trust Ratings (TTR).

Waban, Mass.-based Temkin Group came up with the rankings after surveying 10,000 U.S. consumers on the trust they have in 329 companies across 20 industries.

The other highly rated supermarket chains in this survey were Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix Super Markets, which tied for ninth place (76 percent), and Scarborough, Maine-based Hannaford, which tied for No. 19 (74 percent).

The supermarket industry earned the highest average TTR score (68 percent), followed by auto dealers (66 percent) and investment firms (65 percent).
