H-E-B has opened a new e-commerce fulfillment center in Houston.

H-E-B’s new e-commerce fulfillment center in Houston is now open as the Texas-based grocer continues with plans to drive omnichannel growth while providing its customers a more convenience shopping experience.

The 100,000-square-foot facility will support H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery orders throughout Houston and the surrounding area. Building on H-E-B’s longstanding presence in the area, company officials said the move reinforces the retailer’s commitment to serve more customers in this rapidly growing part of the state.

To support rising demand of online shopping, H-E-B’s fulfillment centers stock goods found in stores, which are used to satisfy curbside and home delivery orders. The facilities use various forms of automation to streamline the order process.

The new facility marks H-E-B’s third e-commerce fulfillment center in Houston and ninth the company has opened in Texas since 2018. The company will continue plans to open additional facilities across the state to help support the retailer’s expansion throughout Texas.

With sales of more than $46 billion, H-E-B operates more than 435 stores in Texas and Mexico.
