H-E-B to open first drive-thru restaurant at new San Antonio store

This month, San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B is opening its first-ever drive-thru at one of its supermarkets that also offers curbside pickup. The drive-thru, at a new 118,000-square-foot San Antonio store, is part of the chain’s new fast-casual restaurant, True Texas BBQ.

Customers will be able to purchase breakfast tacos and eggs as well as fresh natural meat “smoked in the store,” H-E-B said in a statement.
