H-E-B Expands In DFW Metroplex
H-E-B’s footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex continues to expand with the opening of the grocer’s newest store in Mansfield.
Located in the southern portion of the North Texas Metropolitan Area, the 128,000-square-foot store joins the recently opened Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen, and Alliance H-E-B stores, as well as a recently opened Joe V’s Smart Shop Wheatland in Dallas and six Central Market locations that have been serving DFW shoppers for more than two decades.
“We’re excited to open our doors to this vibrant community, and our H-E-B Partners are committed to earning the confidence of our neighbors,” said Shannon Crites, H-E-B Mansfield Top Store Leader. “We look forward to providing customers with a dynamic shopping experience and serving Mansfield with the best of H-E-B.”
The new store offers several distinctive features such as a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru; a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru; and a Texas Backyard department with a selection of outdoor essentials. The store also offers H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery. Other highlights include energy-efficient features such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.
During the store’s grand opening, the grocery made $10,000 donations each to the Mansfield Animal Shelter and the Big Hearts Day Habilitation Center, a nonprofit that provides an inclusive day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and aging adults.
In the DFW area, H-E-B has also announced additional H-E-B stores in Melissa and Prosper, which are under construction, and Rockwall, which will break ground soon.
With sales of $43 billion, H-E-B operates more than 435 stores in Texas and Mexico. Based in San Antonio, the company has more than 160,000 employees.
