Officials with G&S Foods open the company's new Pennsylvania manufacturing facility.

G&S Foods, a Pennsylvania-based co-packer and private label manufacturer of snack foods, unveiled its new manufacturing facility in Hanover.

The 348,344-square-foot facility is a new build and provides the company with opportunities to expand production capacity, develop products to meet snacking trends, and consolidate operations.

“This expansion will not only allow us to increase production capacity but also empower us to develop even more innovative and delicious snack options for our customers,” said Dan Morgan, president and CEO of G&S Foods. “We’re proud to be investing in the Hanover community.”

Company officials said the new facility’s increased space will allow G&S to meet the growing need for co-packing along with the increase in private label snack foods. Additionally, new manufacturing equipment allows the company to create healthier, unique, and on-trend snack options.

All aspects of the company’s operations will be housed in the new facility, including production, research & development, warehousing, and administrative offices.

“The leap of faith we took building this new facility was just like in the movie, Field of Dreams...if you build it, they will come,” said Ed Good, G&S Foods’ chairman. “This facility and its new production lines will open opportunities to greatly expand our business and create new jobs.”

G&S Foods was founded in York County, Pa. in 1996. Three years later, the company purchased TastySnack Quality Foods, allowing G&S to add enrobing capabilities. In 2018, G&S Foods was acquired by MAW Acquisitions LP.
