Grocery Outlet Opens First Las Vegas Store

Emeryville, Calif.-based discount retailer Grocery Outlet is opening its first location in Las Vegas.

First reported by FOX5 Las Vegas, the new store will be located at at 3890 Blue Diamond Rd., Suite B, near the 15 Freeway. Slated for a grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 31., the flagship Las Vegas location will be Grocery Outlet’s 450th location in the United States.  

Shoppers at the new Las Vegas location will find a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, meat, deli, and dairy, along with natural and organic choices. The store also carries a selection of beer and wine, health and beauty care and seasonal items.

In its most recent quarterly report, Grocery Outlet reported a 12.5% increase in net sales year-over-year. Net income was up 21.8%, while comparable store sales were up 9.2%, which was driven by a 9.1% increase in the number of transactions.

The retailer operates stores in California, Idaho, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington, and recently announced plans to expand into Ohio.
