Carlisle, Pa.-based GIANT Food Stores is opening 100th fuel station for business on May 3 at 10 a.m. in Bethlehem, Pa., at 2182 West Union Blvd.
“Opening our 100th fuel station is an important milestone in our growth strategy as we continue to expand our offerings and give our customers more ways to connect with the GIANT brand,” said Kurt Hoeflein, Bethlehem store manager, GIANT Food Stores. “For our Bethlehem area customers, this new fuel station provides added convenience and another place to save at the pump with our popular Gas Extra Rewards program.”
To celebrate its 100th fuel station, the company is donating $1,000 to Friends of Johnston, an all-volunteer charitable nonprofit formed in 2015 and dedicated to the preservation, restoration and sustainable adaptive reuse of the Estate of the first Mayor of Bethlehem. Last week, a group of more than 40 GIANT associates, along with volunteers from Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, joined forces with Friends of Johnston for an outdoor service project at Camel’s Hump Farm in Bethlehem, which included the planting of 200 trees.
For every $100 spent on grocery and pharmacy out-of-pocket expenses at any GIANT using a BonusCard, customers receive 10 cents off per gallon of gas when they fill up as part of Gas Extra Rewards. Consumer rewards must be redeemed by the end of the following month.
