East coast grocery retailer The GIANT Company has announced a new partnership aimed at helping customers shop online. The retailer has announced it will work with Ship2Me to give customers at GIANT and MARTIN’S stores access to home delivery in an assortment of categories, including GIANT’s private label products.

In addition to ordering grocery and household products for pickup or delivery via GIANT Direct or MARTIN’S Direct, Ship2Me gives more choices in categories including health and beauty, home décor and other household items. Instead of picking up Ship2Me items at the store or having them delivered at a scheduled date and time, these items ship directly to customers from Ship2Me sellers.

The company expanded its GIANT Direct operations late last year by opening a new e-commerce fulfillment center in Philadelphia, capable of filling 15,000 home delivery orders per week.

“Ship2Me by Giant is a natural extension of our current grocery delivery options,” said John Ruane, senior vice president of omnichannel merchandising at The GIANT Company. “By offering access to complementary products not traditionally found in store, we are adding endless aisle shopping options for today’s busy families, all with the convenience of being delivered right to your door.”

All Ship2Me items have the option of free standard shipping, which takes between four and nine days to be delivered. Ship2Me sellers may offer other shipping options such as Express or Next Day Delivery for an additional fee, but shipping options and fees vary by seller and product. Return shipping is always free, and there is no minimum order required.

Customers can place orders for both GIANT Direct and Ship2Me for one checkout experience. A customer’s Ship2Me order will be listed separately from the pickup or delivery grocery order. Once an order is placed, customers will receive email confirmation and a future email with tracking information once the order ships.

Founded in 1923, the GIANT Company operates 190 stores, 132 pharmacies, 107 fuel stations and over 150 online pickup hubs across a five-state footprint.
