FreshDirect gets into beer, pizza and sports
FreshDirect, a leading online grocer that services major East Coast cities, knows how well beer and pizza pair with the fall and football.
FreshDirect, which has an extensive private label selection, is now an exclusive online retailer of Barstool Sports Founder and internet personality Dave Portnoy’s One Bite frozen pizza line made with Happi Foodi. The company is also offering a seaonal collection of craft beers to pair with the frozen pizzas that are not exclusive but seasonal to the chain.
The One Bite pizza line, named after Portnoy’s famous "one bite" pizza reviews, comes in four flavors, found online at freshdirect.com. The pizzas come in five cheese, pepperoni, supreme, and three meat flavors, and are sold for $7.99 each.

To pair with the frozen pizzas, FreshDirect is expanding its fall beers and ciders collection with five fall-inspired craft beers that are not private label or exclusive but are available from the operation every fall.
The beers include:
- Kickin’ Knowledge Pumpkin IPA, a New-England style IPA brewed with coconut, pumpkin, nutmeg, coriander, vanilla, cinnamon, and more.
- Post Road Pumpkin Ale, balancing malts, spices, and real Dickinson pumpkins. The Pumpkin Ale is a blend of spice and hop aromas made by Montauk Brewing.
- Roadsmary's Baby Pumpkin Ale, a classic spiced pumpkin ale spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla.
- Autumn IPA, a blend of Citra, El Dorado and Azacca hops with added touches of peaches, tangerine and floral notes.
The new beers vary in count and price.
