Fresh & Easy debuts store brand wines

Via its website, El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy introduced six new private label wines under the I Love CA brand.

“We’ve sourced this wine from the best vineyards in California,” the retailer said. “Our mission is simply to make a great-quality wine. It is one of the most famous top-quality wine-producing regions in the world, so it wasn’t that hard. Still, we think we’ve something that captures all that we love about great Californian wine right here in this bottle. Perfect for every occasion we love.”

Now available from the retailer are:

• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Chardonnay: A ripe, round white wine with flavors of pears, apples, lush peaches and vanilla, followed by hints of lightly toasted oak.
• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Cabernet Sauvignon: Soft and fruity, with aromas of figs and black cherries, together with flavors of plums and blackberries, accented with lightly toasted oak.
• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Merlot: Soft and ripe with aromas of plums, ripe blueberries and chocolate, together with flavors of black cherries and a hint of toasted oak to accent the finish.
• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Pinot Grigio: A crisp and refreshing white wine with aromas of lime and delicate floral notes, together with hints of peach and nectarine flavors.
• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Sauvignon Blanc: A crisp, clean Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of dried herbs and fresh melons and flavors of peaches and dried figs.
• Fresh & Easy I Love CA Red Blend: A fruity Red Blend with aromas of cherries and plums, with flavors of blackberry jam and a hint of toasted oak.
