Fresh & Easy adds more than 45 fresh lunch items, frozen entrées

El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market said it introduced more than 45 fresh lunch items and frozen entrées to its stores. The lunch selections include a line of special signature salads, wraps and sandwiches created by Fresh & Easy’s team of chefs. Like all fresh&easy brand products, the new items are made without any artificial colors of flavors, high-fructose corn syrup or added trans fats.

The sandwiches, wraps and salads are made fresh at Fresh & Easy’s kitchen and delivered to stores daily, the retailer said. Items being introduced include:

• Sandwiches and wraps ($2.99 to $4.99) — Turkey Sandwich/Italian Salad Combo; Turkey, Brie and Cranberry Sandwich; Chipotle Chicken Wrap; BBQ Pork Banh Mi; Chicken & Pesto Sunblushed Tomato Sandwich; and Veggie Lovers Sandwich
• Salads ($3.99 to $4.99) — Broccoli Kale Crunch Salad; Mandarin Almond Wheatberry Salad; Baja Shrimp Salad; Beef Taco Salad; Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken Noodle Salad; Tropical Chicken Salad; Mini Ravioli, Asparagus & Tomato Salad; and Salmon Caesar Salad

“We are excited to be launching over 20 delicious new salads, sandwiches and wraps today as part of our fresh lunch offer,” said Anthony Johnson, category manager for meat, fish, poultry and prepared foods. “We recognize that lunch time choices can get a little boring over time, so we asked our chefs to get busy and give our fresh&easy menu a spring makeover; the result is a great new selection for customers to choose from.”

Meanwhile, Fresh & Easy noted that the frozen skillet and microwavable meals being introduced — priced from $1.99 to $4.99 — include Cavatappi Gorgonzola (24-ounce), Penne Pollo Pepper Jack (24-ounce), Shrimp Risotto (20-ounce), Roasted Vegetable Ortolana (24-ounce), Palak Daal (9.9-ounce), Chicken Enchilada (9.9-ounce), Swedish-Style Meatballs (9-ounce), Eatwell Garlic Chicken (9-ounce) and Eatwell Lemongrass Chicken (9-ounce).
