Free-from sparkling juice comes in several flavors
Carneys Point, N.J.-based Lassonde Pappas & Co. has rolled out a national-brand-equivalent line of free-from sparkling juice beverages for private branding. Available in grapefruit, clementine orange, blackberry, pomegranate, apple and peach flavors, the beverages are 70 percent juice, according to the manufacturer. The beverages contain vitamin C (30 percent of recommended dietary allowance), vitamin B6 (10 percent) and niacin (10 percent). The line is being positioned as a healthful, lower-calorie alternative to soda pop. The Sparkling Grapefruit drink (shown) was a winner in Store Brands’ 2017 Editors’ Picks competition.
