SOPAKCO has a strong history of working on development projects for several large companies, as well as the United States Military in the shelf-stable flexible packaging space. Today, the company based in Mullins, S.C., is looking to use its strong position in the market to grow its business in the private label space. Its plan includes investing in new technologies, improving product quality, and innovating with new product offerings.

Q: SOPAKCO plans to invest in newer technologies to enhance product quality. Please elaborate on the specific innovations or technologies you're focusing on.

A: We are focusing on advancements in retort processing technology and improvements in thermal sterilization techniques, which will enable us to offer products with superior shelf-life, taste, and nutritional integrity. Additionally, we are investing in automation and digitization within our production lines to increase efficiency and reduce human error. In packaging, we are exploring the use of smart packaging technologies that enhance food safety by providing real-time data on product freshness and quality. These innovations will allow us to maintain the highest standards while meeting the evolving demands of our customers.
