FMI launches new campaign for FMI Connect 2016

11/19/2015

The Arlington, Va.-based Food Marketing Institute (FMI) said it launched a new campaign called “Everyone to the Table” for its FMI Connect 2016 event. The industry platform will explore all aspects of the grocery business, especially the most profit-centric areas such as fresh and prepared foods, private brands and health and lifestyle.

“‘Everyone to the Table’ has dual meaning — at a literal level, it depicts the end-goal for retailers and suppliers to provide the inspiration and products that enable people to gather for meals," explained Leslie Sarasin, president and CEO, FMI. “Figuratively, the proverbial table acts as a representation of the what the event means for the industry — a platform for everyone to come together each year to prepare for the future and stay abreast of new efficiencies, trends, innovations and consumer engagement strategies.

“We encourage everyone to come to the table, bringing all areas of the business and every link in the supply chain together to work in concert to ensure we all keep pace with the shopper revolution taking place in our industry,” Sarasin added. “We are building FMI Connect to track the pulse of the shopper and give our members the tools and ideas they need to successfully reach their evolving customer base.”

FMI Connect will continue to host FutureLeaders @Connect, a leadership-focused program providing high-potential industry employees a chance to step outside of their day-to-day roles and experience the entire world of food retail in all its depth, breadth, complexity and opportunity. FMI Connect 2016 will be held June 20-23, 2016, FMI said.
