Erewhon to Open New Store in Pasadena

Upscale grocery chain Erewhon will open its 10th location later this month, further expanding its presence in Los Angeles County.

The new store will be located at 745 S Lake Ave in Pasadena, Calif., northeast of Los Angeles, and open on Wednesday, Sept. 13, according to the grocer’s Instagram. At Erewhon stores, shoppers can find organic, ultra-premium products, including branded retailer-exclusives and products from the Erewhon private brand. The grocer also offers prepared foods and freshly-made juices, smoothies and coffees.

According to What Now Los Angeles, the Pasadena location has been in the works since 2021, filling a building that was once a Borders Bookstore and has since sat vacant. On Aug. 9, Erewhon held a job fair to fill positions for the new store opening.

Erewhon currently operates nine locations: three stores in Los Angeles and stores in Santa Monica, Venice, Pacific Palisades, Calabasas, Culver City and Beverly Hills.
