Enrich Foods Highlights Custom Capabilities At PLMA Show

Enrich Foods, the consumer products arm of Columbia Grain International, an international supplier of commercial grains and pulse crops, will showcase brand and custom pack capabilities at the 2024 PLMA Private Label Show in Chicago. 

According to the company, private brands can now tap into the scale and resource power of Columbia Grain with the customization expertise of Enrich Foods to create a wide range of products from stone-milled flour, specialty and ancient grains, beans and lentils, oats, and sustainably grown rice.

“We provide retailers with premium quality nutritious options that consumers are increasingly searching for,” states Bill Germano, COO of Enrich Foods. “And as always in a scale and value that supports American farmers who use sustainable growing practices and care for the land.”

Company officials said many Enrich Foods’ products have been closely evaluated by the American Heart Association and approved for its Heart-Check certification. An icon on product packaging helps shoppers to make healthy choices and spot heart-healthy foods on store shelves.

The company offers a variety of beans and pulses, milled flour, and oats in organic and conventional formulations. Additionally, whole grains and hot cereal blends are offered in conventional formulations.

Also available are a selection of sustainably grown and climart-smart certified rice. The process of growing rice uses more water than any other agricultural crop. Enrich Foods works with select U.S. farmers who use proprietary sustainable growing practices that help reduce water usage by up to 33%, greenhouse gas emissions by 60% to 95%, and improve soil health.
