Tai Beldock is admittedly a big fan of the Embassy London brand of footwear.

In fact, her level of fandom caught the eye of the company’s United Kingdom-based CEO, who reached out to Beldock via email with an offer. “He asked if I would like to be the company’s U.S. distributor,” she recalled.

In the two years since that offer, the Denver-based entrepreneur who for more than 30 years worked with her husband at his motorcycle dealership, has found success selling a line of shoes she loves. With a boutique in Denver and an online presence, her business has grown and now she’s looking to take the next step.

“These are great shoes and I want to work with retailers such as Nordstrom and others to develop private label or exclusive assortments for them,” she said. “The company works with small, family-owned factories in Poland and has the ability to close relationships and develop unique products.”

Embassy London Shoes
Embassy London's shoes feature a variety of colors.

Founded in 2011 and sold in stores across London’s trendiest neighborhoods including Greenwich, Brighton and Oxford, the company specializes in footwear for men and women. Beldock came across Embassy London shoes on trips to England and on those visits would work to expand her personal collection.

As the pandemic shut down travel, she was unable to visit London and then turned to the Internet to buy her favorite shoes. That was when her relationship evolved from fan to a business connection.

When asked what attracted her to Embassy London shoes, she pointed to their overall quality plus the splash of color that adorns each pair.

“When you first look at the shoes, you don’t expect them to be comfortable, but they are quite comfortable,” Beldock said. “As our CEO says, our number one goal is to make shoes people want to wear."
