Edible glitter
Watson Inc. now offers a line of edible glitter products to meet the growing demand for clean labeling. Edible Glitter Nature Colors are made from gum arabic (the sap of the Acacia tree) and color. Watson uses colors from a wide range of sources, including cabbage juice, algae, carrots, radish, turmeric and annatto. The glitters can be used as a sprinkle, topping or inclusion in confectionery products, baked goods or frostings. The glitters are unflavored or flavor-neutral and contain no sugar, artificial sweeteners, fats and hydrogenated vegetable oils.
