Dollar General opens 14,000th store
Known for its wide array of value private brands, Goodlettsville, Tenn-based Dollar General Corp. has opened its 14,000th store — in Dauphin, Pa., a town with fewer than 800 people, according to the 2010 U.S. Census. Many of the dollar chain’s stores are located in small towns.
“For nearly 80 years, Dollar General has continually been focused on delivering everyday low prices, convenience and value to the communities we serve,” said Todd Vasos, the company’s CEO, in a statement.
Dollar General’s private brands include Heartland Harvest, a better-for-you food line introduced in 2016, as well as DG Body, DG Beauty, DG Health, Comfort Bay, Trueliving and Rexall.
