Davidson’s Organic expands store brand capabilities

Davidson’s Organic, a Sparks, Nev.-based supplier of organic teas, spices, herbs and cocoa for retailers’ own brands, said it is expanding its private labeling program due to popular demand. The program, which offers custom tea bags, bulk teas and iced teas, will now have wider capabilities through the company’s investment in new machinery. New equipment includes tea-bagging machinery that expands the company’s fresh bagged iced tea offerings, as well as a fourth tea blender, which increased total blending capacity to 3,000 pounds per batch.

The company also announced that it received NSF International certification last year. NSF International certification assures customers and retailers that Davidson’s meets the highest standards of food safety and processing.
