Couche-Tard Names New Head of Global Private Label

Amy Jenkins joins the convenience store chain from Lowe's to fill the vacancy created when Rodney Blanton joined Amazon Go.

Couche-Tard officials said the company is looking to expand its assortment of private label products.

Amy Jenkins has been named the global head of private label and owned brands at Alimentation Couche-Tard. She fills the role vacated by Rodney Blanton who joined Amazon Go in July.

Jenkins announced her new position on LinkedIn. In a post on the social media site, she wrote, “I am happy to announce I have joined the Circle K global team as head of Private Label & Owned Brands! Looking forward to this new chapter in my career and working with this talented team. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far.”

She joins the convenience store chain from home improvement chain Lowe’s, where she spent nearly five years. Most recently, she served as director of Brand Analysis for Lowe’s Private Brands.

Jenkins joins Alimentation Couche-Tard, at a time when the company sees opportunity to expand its private label assortment

Store Brands’ sister publication Convenience Store News Canada reported that Couche-Tard officials recently said private label sales the convenience store chain are growing at high single digits. Additionally, the company will add more than 100 private label products this year.

Couche-Tard is a global leader in convenience and mobility, operating in 31 countries and territories, with more than 16,800 stores. It is best known for its Couche-Tard and Circle K banners.
