CBD newcomer Columbia Basin Hemp has inaugurated its new processing and extraction facility. The Quincy, Wash.-based company has begun producing CBD oils at the facility in central Washington near its farms.
Columbia Basin Hemp said its CBD oils now are available for sale to wholesalers and retailers for use in their CBD lines — branded and private label — and its selection includes CBD full-spectrum oil, CBD distillate and CBD isolate.
The company said it uses an ethanol extraction method to create cannabinoids that are pure and highly concentrated, and contain less than 0.3% THC to meet U.S. regulatory guidelines. The ethanol extraction can create 99% pure CBD oil, Columbia Basin Hemp said.
Location is important for the company. Its farms are in the Columbia Valley near Washington’s Cascade Mountains. The volcanic soil and the company’s irrigation practices, in combination with the climate of the area, offer the ideal environment for growing high-quality hemp, the company said.
