Chewy taps new head of marketing

Online pet retailer Chewy appointed a new chief marketing officer to oversee its private brands.

Chewy, a leading online pet product supplier with a collection of private brands, has appointed a new chief marketing officer. Mark Eamer will lead the expansion of Chewy’s marketing and customer engagement capabilities, with ownership of the company's marketing strategy, partnerships and analytics.

Eamer will oversee Chewy’s private brands, which led to success for the company in 2020.

Eamer first joined Amazon in 2000, and most recently served as vice president of advertising, product and media, with a focus on leading the company’s advertising efforts across IMDb TV, Streaming TV, FireTV and Alexa Devices. He previously led the U.S. business of Prime Video, as he oversaw the launch of several acclaimed shows, including "Jack Ryan" and "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," and owned all marketing for Prime Video while building multiple automated marketing programs.

Prior to working for Amazon, Eamer served as director of marketing at Zillow, securing partnerships to bring “Zestimates” to third-party sites and allowed brokers to send their listings to Zillow.
