The California Dairy Innovation Center Sets 2024 Educational Schedule

The CDIC's Dairy Products Processing and Packaging Innovation Conference in February will feature presentations on packaging innovation and dairy industry leadership panels.

The CDIC is offering a broad schedule of educational events in 2024.

The California Dairy Innovation Center (CDIC) will host a conference in February that will focus on the topic of sustainability. Additionally, the organization in 2024 will offer a series of eight workshops that offer hand-on training.

The Dairy Products Processing and Packaging Innovation Conference returns to Shell Beach, Calif., February 27-29. The conference will feature presentations on packaging innovation by McKinsey & Company and dairy industry leadership panels. This year’s program will focus on sustainability advances at the dairy plant level and throughout the supply chain.

The CDIC is collaborating with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to organize this event, with support from the Pacific Coast Coalition, Dairy Management Inc., and the California Dairy Research Foundation.

Additionally, the CDIC will offer eight workshops and hands-on training programs in 2024. The first short course, “Coffee, Tea, and Creamers: The Science and Art of Milk Ready-to-Drink Beverages” will focus on beverage formulation, and will be held January 16-17, at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. 

This new course will feature presentations by product development experts. The course will include hands-on training, demonstrations, and ample networking opportunities. There are no prerequisites required for this course, which is ideal for marketing personnel, as well as for entrepreneurs and established beverage processors.   • Innovation Workshop and State of the Industry, September 12, Fresno State
