Buc-ee's Set To Break Ground On First Ohio Store
Convenience store chain Buc-ee’s is about to break ground on its first Ohio store near Dayton with a grand opening anticipated in about 18 months, according to a report from the Columbus Dispatch.
The new location will occupy 74,000 square feet and include 100 fueling stations and 24 electric vehicle charging stations. The store will be located at 8000 State Highway 235 in Huber Height, a northern suburb of Dayton, and sit just off of a stretch of I-70 between Columbus and Indianapolis.
In addition to the plethora of fueling stations and charging stations, Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s will including an assortment of branded and private label snacks, meal and drink options and its renowned selection of Texas barbecue.
When opened, the new Buckeye State store will give the convenience store chain a presence in 10 states. Currently, Buc-ee’s has locations in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
Additionally, when the Huber Heights store opens, Buc-ee’s will need to update its billboard on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County. The billboard featuring Buc-ee’s well-known Buc-ee the Beaver mascot advertises its closest location as being 537 miles away in Florence, S.C. The Ohio store, when open, will be approximately 475 miles from the billboard.
