Associated Wholesalers evaluating acquisition offers
Associated Wholesalers Inc. (AWI), a regional cooperative food distributor based in Robesonia, Pa., said it received and is evaluating offers to acquire the assets of AWI and its White Rose Food subsidiary — said to be the largest independent wholesale food distributor in the New York metro area — from potential buyers. The company said it will “carefully evaluate” the offers and any additional offers received with its financial and legal advisors.
“As it moves through this process, AWI remains focused on running its business efficiently and providing its customers the competitive pricing and outstanding service and support they expect from AWI,” the company stated.
AWI named Lazard Middle Market as financial advisor and Carl Marks Advisors as restructuring advisor. Saul Ewing LLP and Rhoads & Sinon LLP are serving as legal advisors.
