Bodybuilding.com adds Scream to its private brand roster

Bodybuilding.com continues to expand its portfolio of private brands. The online sports nutrition retailer and resource is introducing Scream, a pre-workout product that launches its Advanced brand.

Bodybuiliding.com said Scream was initially launched in 2012, but the company stopped selling it in the ensuing years as it launched its Signature series and Revel Brand that focused on women.

The company said it worked with companies to bring five trademarked ingredients to Scream that are meant to support performance-focused athletes and focus on four functions — energy, power, performance and recover.

"The formula intentionally prioritizes acute ingredients that work from the first use, while utilizing support ingredients that also benefit your performance in the long term," said John Stump, private label product manager at Bodybuilding.com. "We wanted to deliver on a performance brand that has unmatched effectiveness while still providing value. Many industry-leading pre-workouts require extensive saturation periods before the concentration levels are high enough in your system to be deemed effective. Scream is effective from the first use while still giving you long-term benefits."

Dhritiman Saha, Bodybuilding.com’s chief customer and digital officer, said, “Bodybuilding.com will continue to invest in expanding the Scream brand into other categories like advanced protein and recovery. We will continue to innovate and bring new brands to our loyal community based on customer demand and in-depth market research."
