BJ's Wholesale Club is scheduled to open its first Kentucky store in 2025.

BJ’s Wholesale Club’s expansion westward will continue into 2025 as the warehouse club raised the curtain on plans to open its first store in Louisville, Ky.

To be located in the Southeastern part of the city near the Jefferson Mall, the store is scheduled to open in May of next year. It will include a BJ’s gas station and offer curbside pickup, in-club pickup, same-day delivery, and standard delivery from BJs.com.

“We are excited to offer our winning combination of value, convenience and assortment to families in Louisville,” said Bill Werner, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development, BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Our expansion into Kentucky allows us to deliver unbeatable value and savings of up to 25% off grocery store prices every day.”

The forthcoming Kentucky store is the retailer’s latest expansion beyond its Eastern roots, following the opening of new stores in Tennessee and Alabama in 2023.

Each new BJ’s Wholesale Club typically creates approximately 150 jobs for its respective community.
