BJ's Wholesale will open a new store in New York and two new locations in Florida.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is expanding its already strong presence in two states along the east coast.

The retailer will open its 49th New York store in Staten Island’s Bricktown Centre. BJ’s will also grow its store count in the Sunshine State with new store openings in Brooksville and St. John’s, its 40th and 41st clubs respectively in Florida.

“Families in Florida and New York love the value of BJ’s membership, and we’re thrilled to bring unexpected savings to more communities as we expand our footprint,” said Bill Werner, executive vice president, Strategy and Development, BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Our real estate pipeline is the strongest it’s been in more than 20 years, and we look forward to helping more families save up to 25 percent off grocery store prices every day.”

Earlier this year, the retailer announced six new club openings across the Southeast and Midwest, as well as expansion into its 21st state with the opening of its Louisville, Ky., store in early 2025.

Each new BJ’s Wholesale location is expected to create approximately 150 jobs and hiring is expected to start soon for these new locations.
