BJ's Wholesale Club Expanding In New York
BJ’s Wholesale Club will expand its presence in New York with the opening of its new club in Staten Island on April 25th.
Located at 85 Bricktown Way, the store will be the retailer’s 49th location in the Empire State.
“We’re excited to bring savings of up to 25% off grocery store prices every day to our newest members in the Staten Island community,” said Frank Griscavage, Club Manager, Staten Island BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Our purpose is to take care of the families who depend on us, and we’ll deliver on that with unbeatable value, assortment, and convenience.”
As part of the grand opening celebration, BJ’s is partnering with City Harvest by donating produce, meat, dairy products, and more every week. The initiative is part of the company’s 15-year relationship with Feeding America and its network of food banks.
“Our ongoing partnership with BJ’s Wholesale Club is critical as we work to end hunger in communities throughout New York City,” said Jilly Stephens, chief executive officer at City Harvest. “This partnership is especially important now, as we’re seeing record-high levels of need throughout New York City.”
The new Staten Island location is part of BJ’s continuing store expansion effort that has seen the retailer expand its presence beyond its East Coast roots. BJ’s recently opened stores in South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and announced plans for a new distribution center in Columbus, Ohio.
In March, BJ’s raised the curtain on a major expansion effort that will see the Marlborough, Mass.-based retailer open as many as 30 new stores over the next two fiscal years. This will include several clubs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting in 2026.
