Berlinski, former editor of Private Label magazine, dies
The New Jersey native also helped found Private Label Hall of Fame
Peter R. Berlinski, 72, also known as the former editor-in-chief of Private Label and Private Label International magazines, died April 16 in Clifton, N.J.
His Private Label magazine is now known as Store Brands magazine.
Berlinski, who received a bachelor’s degree in English from Seton Hall University, was also one of the founders of the Private Label Manufacturers Association’s Private Label Hall of Fame. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Outside of work, he was known as the family patriarch, getting his entire family together at his home for barbecues.
