AmazonFresh Pickup stores open to public

After a couple of months of beta-testing with Amazon employees, two AmazonFresh Pickup locations have opened — in Seattle’s SoDo and Ballard neighborhoods, the company reported on its website. 

The service is free to Amazon Prime members. Amazon states that orders can be ready in as little as 15 minutes after being placed online, with Amazon employees loading the groceries into customers’ cars.

Products that can be ordered through AmazonFresh include fresh-prepared food, fresh fruit and vegetables, organic items, beverages such as beer and wine, and meat and seafood.
