Aldi Starts December With 11 Store Openings

The grocer is welcoming shoppers in 10 states to new or remodeled locations as its expansion efforts continue.

Aldi is opening 11 new stores to start December.

Aldi is spending the first full week of December cutting the grand opening ribbon at nearly a dozen stores across 10 states as the grocer’s store expansion efforts continue at a robust pace.

Of the 11 new stores, 10 are opening on December 7, with one having celebrated its grand opening the final week of November. New locations going live include: 

  • Davenport, Iowa: located at 3463 W. Kimberly Road, this is the third store in the community where Aldi has had a presence for 14 years.
  • Oak Forest, Ill.: the new store at 4250 167th Street replaces an existing location at 3500 West 183rd Street. 
  • Park Rapids, Mich,: this is the community’s first Aldi store.
  • College Park, Md.: this is the community’s first Aldi location.
  • Canton, Ohio: the current Aldi store at 2725 Market St. N.E. is closing and will be replaced by a new store at 3715 Harmont Avenue, NE. 
  • Hattiesburg, Miss.: this is the first Aldi store in the Mississippi community.
  • Jackson, Mo.: this is the community’s first store.
  • Fort Pierce, Fla.: the store at 5535 Okeechobee Road will be Aldi’s second store in the community.
  • West Seneca, N.Y.: the grand opening marks the renovation of the store at 865 Harlem Road.
  • Allendale, Mich.: this is the first Aldi location in the Michigan community.
  • Dearborn Heights, Mich.: Aldi welcomes shoppers back to its rebuilt store located at 24130 Van Born.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card during grand opening celebrations.
