With grocery prices remaining a hot topic for consumers, Aldi is looking to have some input on the discussion while poking a little fun at its competitors.

The discount grocer is launching a limited-edition “Burning Cash” candle that is green in color and offers what Aldi officials said are “smoky undertones and notes of inconsistent prices and buyer’s remorse.”

The candle is being used by Aldi to remind shoppers that they can save up to 36% when shopping at the grocer, company officials said.

Starting May 21, at 9 a.m. ET, consumers can visit ALDIBurningCashCandle.com and add the candle to their cart, and input their shipping information.

Those who successfully claim their candles while supplies last will receive two: one for themselves and one for a friend who needs to make the switch to Aldi, because friends don’t let friends overpay for groceries. Winners will be notified and receive shipping details via email during the week of May 26.
