Aldi rolls out vegan line

Aldi recently introduced an own-brand vegan line called Earth Grown, featuring products free from animal products, including meat, poultry and seafood. The products are also free from substances produced by animals, such as eggs, dairy, honey, gelatin and lanolin.

Earth Grown items include a line of veggie burgers featuring different flavors, such as Asian, and chipotle and black bean chipotle. A 10-ounce package costs $3.69. The line also features meatless jumbo hot dogs, meatless Italian sausages, soy protein burgers, chickenless patties or tenders, meatless meatballs and vegan mozzarella-style shreds.
