Batavia, Ill.-based Aldi U.S. is voluntarily recalling 4,089 cases of its private brand Fusia Szechuan Stir Fry because of potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.

Supplied by Versa Marketing Inc. of Fresno, Calif., the affected Fusia Szechuan Stir Fry was distributed in 21-ounce poly bags in a multipack that includes the UPC code 041498-178864 and a best-by date of June 14, 2018.  No other product was affected by the recall.

Consumers who purchased the product are urged not to consume it, states the FDA.  Customers with questions can contact Versa Marketing at 877-228-6814.
