Aldi Opens New Stores In New York, Ohio
As part of the Staten Island grand opening, Aldi is donating $1,000 to City Harvest, which is part of the grocer’s commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its network of affiliates through 2024 to help alleviate hunger in local communities. In addition to this donation, Aldi will work with City Harvest to ensure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network. In the past year, ALDI donated 33 million pounds of food to Feeding America partners across the country.
In Grandview, Sarah Brown, Springfield vice president for Aldi, said, “We have served the Columbus market for more than 30 years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping. We’re committed to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices.
As part of the Grandview grand opening, Aldi will be donating $1,000 to Mid-Ohio Food Bank. In addition, Aldi will work with Mid-Ohio Food Bank to ensure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network.
