Aldi continues to expand its footprint. On Feb. 9, the grocer will open a new location in Milford, Del. That same day, the discount chain will reopen its Venice, Fla. store that was impacted by Hurricane Ian in October.

In Delaware, the Milford location will officially open its doors to shoppers at 9 a.m. The first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for five years running,” said Jeff Baehr, Frederick regional vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first store in Milford and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

In the Sunshine State, the Venice store reopens four months after the Category 4 storm ravaged the southwestern portion of Florida. During the time, Aldi said its employees assisted with hurricane recovery and charitable work that included packing thousands of disaster relief boxes and donating truckloads of products.

To celebrate the grand re-opening, the first 100 customers will receive an eco-friendly bag in addition to a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card from Thursday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 12.

Recently, Aldi put the finishing touches on a new regional headquarters and distribution center that has the capacity to serve as many as 100 stores in the Gulf Coast region.

The new 564,000-square-foot facility in Loxley, Ala., is equipped to supply stores across Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle.

The facility is the 26th regional headquarters and distribution center for Aldi, and its sixth to be opened in the southern U.S. The Loxley distribution center will create approximately 200 new jobs in the area.
