ALDI launches store brand free-from meat line

ALDI Inc., Batavia, Ill., said it launched a line of store brand meat products that are free from added hormones/steroids and animal byproducts. The launch comes on the heels of the retailer's rollout of its Healthier Checklanes program and its decision to remove MSG, partially hydrogenated oils and certified synthetic coloring from all of its own-brand products.

Core products in the line include Kirkwood Never Any! Chicken Breasts, Lunch Mate Never Any! Ham, Lunch Mate Never Any! Turkey, Appleton Farms Never Any! Hickory Bacon, Kirkwood Never Any! Whole Chicken, Kirkwood Never Any! Chicken Breast Tenderloins, Kirkwood Never Any! Italian Sausage, and Kirkwood Never Any! Spinach Feta Chicken Sausage. ALDI said it is also testing out Kirkwood Never Any! Breakfast Chicken Sausage, Kirkwood Never Any! Chipotle Chicken Sausage and Kirkwood Never Any! Tomato Basil Chicken Sausage in select areas.
