Aldi Expands In Pennsylvania, New York

The discount grocer boosts its store count in two Northeastern states while also opening a remodeled location in Ohio.

Aldi continues expanding its store count with new locations in Pennsylvania and New York.

Aldi closed out August and started September with a handful of new store openings along with bringing remodeled locations online as the discount grocer continues expandings its presence across the U.S.

In Marysville, Ohio, the company on September 5 welcomed shoppers back to its renovated store at 15740 US Highway 36, which will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

The updated store has an improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded fresh and convenient food selection. It also features open ceilings and natural lighting, and it is built with environmentally friendly materials. 

“We have invested in remodeling our stores to ensure they are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster, and easier,” said Sarah Brown, Springfield regional vice president for Aldi. “With the updated Marysville store, shoppers will notice a new look with more fresh and convenient items at the reliably low prices Aldi fans rave about.”

Pennsylvania is now home to two new Aldi locations as the communities of Harmony and Waynesboro opened new stores just before Labor Day weekend. The Harmony said is located at 236 Perry Highway while the Waynesboro store calls 1517 East Main St. home. Both stores will be opening daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

As part of both store's grand opening celebrations, Aldi donated $1,000 each to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

In New York, the discount grocer has expanded its presence in the Bronx with a new store at 4720 Third Avenue. The store, which celebrated its grand opening just before Labor Day, will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

“We have served the Bronx community for more than 13 years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping,” said Chris Daniels, South Windsor vice president for Aldi.

As part of this Grand Opening in the Bronx, the company donated $1,000 to Food Bank for New York City.
