Aldi moves forward with its store expansion plans with the opening of new locations in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Aldi has added two new locations to its ever-growing roster of stores as the discount grocer has entered a new community in Pennsylvania while expanding its presence in Michigan.

On May 9, the company celebrated the grand opening of its first store in Red Lion at 3209 Cape Horn Road, the first store in the Keystone State community. Also, Aldi expanded its presence in Muskegon, Mich., with a new location at 1680 E. Apple Ave.

To celebrate the grand opening of the stores, the first 100 customers at each location received a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers are also able to enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend May 9-12 for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster, and easier,” said Jeff Baehr, Frederick vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first store in Red Lion and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

Ryan Fritsch, Aldi’s Webberville vice president, noted, “We have served the Muskegon community for more than 25 years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping.”
