Aldi Expands In Georgia

The grocer opens its first store in the community of East Ellijay, further expanding its footprint in the Peach State.

Aldi has opened a new store in the Georgia community of East Ellijay.

Aldi is expanding its store count in the state of Georgia with the opening of a new store in the community of East Ellijay.

Located in the northern part of the Peach State, the new location will call 24 West Highlands Drive home and be open daily from 9 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

To celebrate the store’s grand opening on March 28, the first 100 customers received a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers are also able to enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend March 28 through March 31 for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card. 

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Shaun O’Keefe, Jefferson vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in East Ellijay and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
