Aldi Expands Footprint in Georgia

The grocer has opened a new store in the city of Savannah.

Aldi has opened a new store in Savannah, Ga.

Aldi has expanded its presence in the southeast with the opening of its newest store in Savannah, Ga., Located at 1651 E. Victory Drive, the grocer celebrated the grand opening of its newest location on August 8.

During the grand opening celebration, the first 100 customers received a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers were also able to enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

We’re committed to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices, period! We have served the Savannah community for more than five years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping.”

As part of the Grand Opening in Savannah, Aldi donated $1,000 to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, Inc. This donation is part of the company’s commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its network of affiliates through 2024 to help alleviate hunger in local communities. 

In addition to this donation, Aldi will work with America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, Inc. to ensure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network. In the past year, Aldi donated 33 million pounds of food to Feeding America partners across the country.
