Aldi Expands In California, Tennessee
Aldi’s store expansion efforts continued with the grocer expanding its presence in existing markets in Tennessee and California on August 22.
In Johnson City, Tenn., the company opened a new store at 108 Whitewood Blvd, while a new location at 4240 Redondo Beach Blvd. in Torrance, Calif., opened its doors the same day. The Johnson City store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the Torrance location will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate the grand openings of both stores, the first 100 customers at each received a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers were also eligible to enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Krysta Cearley, Salisbury vice president for Aldi, home region of the new Johnson City store. “Aldi is positioned to help keep costs as low as possible because of our disciplined approach to operating with simplicity and efficiency. We’re committed to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices, period. We have served the Johnson City community for more than nine years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping.”
The new Aldi store in Torrence will provide shoppers in that community, which the grocer has served for three years, an additional choice for groceries.
