Aldi is expanding its presence in the northeast with two new locations in the Philadelphia market and a new store opening in Long Island’s Nassau County.

In southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia residents will have a new store at 12002 E. Roosevelt Blvd. Additionally, residents of the Philadelphia suburb of West Chester will also have their own Aldi location.

In New York, the latest location in the Empire State will be located at 280 Peninsula Blvd., in Hempstead. The three stores will open in time for Memorial Day weekend on Thursday, May 25.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during the opening weekend from May 25 through May 28.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Chris Daniels, South Windsor regional vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in Hempstead and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

Bob Grammer, regional vice president for Aldi, noted the new stores in his region of Pennsylvania mark an expansion of the grocer’s presence in the city of Philadelphia while also bringing Aldi to West Chester for the first time.
