Aldi has opened four new stores the week before Thanksgiving.

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Aldi has opened four new locations as the grocer continues its expansion efforts across the United States.

On November 21, the grocer celebrated the grand openings of its stores in San Diego at 5270 Balboa Ave.; in Viroqua, Wis., at 1023 N. Main St.; in Miami at 249 NW 6th St. Unit #601; and in Parma, Ohio, at 6805 Ridge Road. The San Diego store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. while the three other new locations will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The new stores in San Diego, Miami, and Parma allow Aldi to expand its presence in these cities. The Viroqua store is the community’s first Aldi location.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster, and easier,” said Shane Williams, Oak Creek vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first store in Viroqua and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

As part of the grand opening celebrations in San Diego and Viroqua Aldi is donating $1,000 to Feeding San Diego and $1,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin. The donations are part of the grocer’s commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its network of affiliates through 2024 to help alleviate hunger in local communities.

Additionally, Aldi will work with Feeding San Diego and Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin to ensure excess grocery items are delivered to the local community through the Feeding America Network. In the past year, Aldi donated 33 million pounds of food to Feeding America partners across the country.
