iGPS Logistics, Orlando, Fla., a plastic pallet pooling service provider in North America, said that Affiliated Foods Midwest, Norfolk, Neb., is its newest Total Pallet Management Solution client. As part of the agreement, iGPS will provide on-site pallet management services at Affiliated Foods’ Kenosha, Wis., facility.

“Leveraging their expertise in operations and logistics has allowed us to see a reduction in operational costs and an increase in service thanks to iGPS,” said Mike Ruge, director of warehouse operations at Affiliated Foods Midwest. “This change has allowed us to shift our focus and attention to where it should be, on our members and their daily needs. Anytime we can reduce our operating costs and remove past concerns about pallet management, it is a win for our member-owners.”

In addition to providing total pallet management solutions, iGPS helps customers with reductions of pallet/shipping weight, uniformity in automated facilities, minimizing product damage, eliminating splinters, and preventing absorption of bacteria.

“We are pleased to be providing total pallet management solutions, and this new agreement is a testament to the operational efficiencies that iGPS brings to the supply chain — delivering not only savings, but increased service for Affiliated Foods’ members,” said Jeff Liebesman, CEO, iGPS.
